The Richey Concert Band was founded over 50 years ago by Henry Fletcher, who saw the need for an organization that provided musical opportunities for instrumentalists on the Gulf Coast of Florida. During the fall, winter, and spring, rehearsals are held weekly at the Gulf High School in New Port Richey, and concerts are performed regularly throughout the area. Currently, the band is 87 members strong and boasts of a great balance of woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments, as well as the ability to perform a great variety of standards, including marches and concert arrangements.
